Nail polish to take you from Autumn to Winter

Accessorize - Almond
A P.E.R.F.E.C.T neutral colour for me! It has a slight purple undertone making it a cool neutral colour. I hadn't tried Accessorize nail polishes before but there were a few beautiful colours that had caught my eyes in their collection. The bottles are too cute and remind me of the old tv show Crystal Maze which I totally loved to watch back in the day! The rose gold finish on the brush handle is also beautiful and easy to hold and use!

Butter London - Stag Do
This was one of the first Butter London nail polishes I ever tried. In the bottle it has a slight metallic colour too it but unfortunately I am not seeing it on my nails. It's quite a harsh colour, strong and bold but paired with a gold glitter I think it would be great for christmas/new year time.

Ciate - Sand Dune
I love gold nail polish! It just isn't in your face and can be warn pretty much all year round! But put it with a chuncky gold glitter polish (like the one above) it look great for the festive season!

Seventeen - Russet Shimmer
This is a new purchase, once I clapped eyes on the colour in Boots I had to have it! It has a orange undertone too it or it is the tiny flecks of orange glitter in the red polish. It is a beautiful rich warm red and echoes the tones of autumn and christmas!

GLITTER
Butter London - Bit Faker (Bronze)  and Revlon - Sequins (Gold)
Now don't get me wrong, I love glitter as much as the next person, but having my nail covered in glitter polish is an actual nightmare for me. Taking the time to take the glitter off my nails just makes me sad and it takes way too long for me. However I do really love the accent nail, where you just have one nail covered in a thick layer of glitter polish. The Butter London Bit Faker is the polish on my thumbs in the picture above, it took only two layer to get the look and I was extremely please about that! Two layers and quick drying what is not to love?!

So those are the colours I will be sporting this winter, maybe with a few others in as well, what colours are your favourite for this time of year? Also if you have any tips and trick to easily removed glitter polish, let me know I am all ears for any tips!

Brushes that Changed my Makeup

Before I even thought about makeup brushes I just used my hands, however this changed when it came to cleaning my car. Wiping over the steering wheel I noticed that it was covered in foundation, from orange to black I decided it was time to move on up! So here are my top five brushes I use that changed the way I use and apply makeup forever!

I always hated the traditional foundation brush, painting on your makeup with the flat brush just did not work for me. My steering wheel was no longer black, stained with foundation from my finger tips I really wanted to try a foundation brush and when the Real Techniques Stippling Brush came out I had to try it. It's been with me ever since and has changed the way I did my makeup forever. This is one brush I will never want to be without!

I love all the brushes from the Zoeva Rose gold Expert Face Set but my most used are the ones I'm going to share with you, the 142/Concealer Buffer Brush - I use this for my concealer and I love the compact feel of the bristles.

I also love the 102/Silk Finish Brush which I use to buff in my foundation after using the RT Stippling Brush. I love the finish it gives me, blending in my foundation so nicely I feel as though you can't notice any gathering on the foundation on the skin in the morning all the way through to the evening.

I've just started to get into blush and the 127/Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush is my first angled brush. The bristles are super soft and apply the makeup quite sheer but is very easy to build.

Finally my last brush is also one I had never even considered using. It actually came with a gel eyeliner. L'Oreal Super Liner Gel Intenza. This little brush is something I have been very impressed with. I can get smooth lines of a wide variety on line thicknesses with this brush. Best used wet I really love the brush and the product. A cat eye is my favourite thing to do now, I defiantly give this two thumbs up!

Pinterest Nails

So I've been on Pinterest for what feels like forever now and I still remember seeing a pin of somebodies nail varnish, as you do these days. I can not find the one that I had originally discovered back in the day but this one is very similar.

I love the colour and the little hint of glitter at the end of the nails. I had always been resistant to try it until yesterday, there wasn't much going on and I had a lot of spare time on my hands so I decided to give it ago.

My nails are no where near as nice as the ones in the picture above but I am pretty pleased with the out come, seeing as I can not do a thing with my left hand, except of course holding a knife or fork, It just does not feel right!

So here is my attempt at something I've seen from Pinterest!

It's not the same colours as above because I don't have them so instead I decided to try it with a pearly pink base by the brand make 17 and then use a Barry M glitter polish around the top of my nails. I like the effect and I'm especially please with the fact that I tried to copy something from Pinterest and it worked!

Hair Envy

I've just had my hair cut, and too be perfectly honest with myself... It's a lot shorter than I wanted. After the hairdresser had finished I looked down and saw all the hair she had just chopped off! And there was loads!!! I don't know about you, but I always find it hard to explain what it is I am asking for, so I tend to take a picture with me either printed out or on my phone, this means that I don't have to try and explain to much about what I want, because lets be honest, a monkey can describe what he wants better than I can.

So now that it's done I found myself having something called "hair envy". And why am I having these envious feelings, because of those absolutely gorgeous pictures of long lovely locks on a little thing called Pinterest.

I love Pinterest, I've said about it enough in other posts but I just get drawn into it, for hours?! Anyway I found this gorgeous inspirational pictures and can't help but be a little bit jealous!

Of course there are so many more pictures that display really pretty hair, I just chose these three. I sure my hair will grow back to the length it was, and in a couple of days I will probably wont even notice my hair that much.
I think our hair is something we girls love and wish was as perfect as it is in those pictures. But having it cut off and seeing it on the floor makes us realise what we had, and how long it will take for it to grow back & I have always been one to struggled with choosing what I want.

It will get back to how I wanted it, it will just take time.

Nail art

Accent nails have been a big thing for 2013, you could see them everywhere. Whether it's been eight simple plain nails and two accent glitters! I completely fell into this trend, glitter is addictive!

I'm not good at doing my nails, I can do my left hand easy, but my right hand.... well a 5 year old who has had to much sugar could do a neater job. I know it's awful but I tend to just try my best (which goes all over my fingers) and I just think 'It'll come off my skin in the shower it's fine...'

So when I see people nails like this....

I wish I was ambidextrous! I love the colours the shapes the lines, I love it all!! I wish I had this skill. Just so freaking gorgeous! Perfect for any time of year!

This is not my own picture, I found this picture from pinterest on this link:

If you haven't already seen these amazing designs go and check them out, be prepared to be inspired!

Organisation!

My parent's recently up'd house and moved home. Now because I am at uni for the next two years I wont be living with them much, (expect for christmas, easter and the summer holiday of course) so a lot of my things are down at uni... now that it's 800 miles away from my new home...

So moving house has meant down sizing, and oh my godness!! I have so much Cr*p I dont know where it's come from?!

So now I have a smaller bedroom it means becoming more organised (which I have never be very good at) So Pinterest has been a real life saver and eye opener!

All of these pictures below have been collected from Pinterest...

make-up brushes display
I like this little storage idea, I think it is sweet, tidy and clean. Perfect for a bathroom, however being white it unfortunately doesn't fit into my bedroom colours.

Very sweet and all so neat!
I think this is adorable to! The little plates for the rings and bracelets are very sweet but a bit to available for dust if you know what I mean. I'm too lazy to dust every week...

makeup brush storage ideas - This will keep the dust off the brushes!
Now this is a great idea!! The lid will keep the brushes dust free, although it strongly reminds my of a straw container at a fast food restaurant?

I like this idea so I don't have to dig for certain brushes. It will also help them dry after I wash them!
This is what I have been looking for for a few weeks!! A square glass container! But I'm still yet to find one!!! :(

All images are from http://pinterest.com/lolaq92/organisation/ and unfortunately I can not located where they all originate.
They are Not my own!
